Digi International‘s newly announced incorporation of carrier subscription management capabilities into the iDigi® Device Cloud™ means that organisations can now create M2M applications, manage remote devices and oversee wireless subscriptions from one interface.
The iDigi Device Cloud supports wireless subscription management for AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom and Jasper Wireless. As part of its support for Jasper Wireless, iDigi customers have access to more than 90 wireless carriers throughout the world.
Wireless subscription, data usage and historical information associated with devices registered on the iDigi Device Cloud are now accessible in real-time. Users are also able to activate/deactivate wireless service.
“Managing devices, applications and multiple carrier networks can be a daunting task,” said Larry Kraft, senior vice president of marketing, Digi International. “By integrating wireless provisioning into the iDigi Device Cloud, companies now have real-time insight into their data usage enabling greater control of device networks.”
Carrier subscription management is a key addition to iDigi’s suite of device network management capabilities. The iDigi Device Cloud enables users to perform critical device management operations, including firmware upgrades, software downloads, setting alarms, scheduling management tasks and viewing time series data.
The iDigi Device Cloud provides the infrastructure required to access, control, configure and upgrade unlimited devices securely over the Internet. With the iDigi Connector, a free software download, any M2M device can seamlessly integrate with the iDigi Device Cloud providing instant connectivity.
