Andrew Parker of the GSMA has agreed to join the Editorial Advisory Board of IoT Now magazine and www.iot-now.com. This follows the news that Axeda’s Bill Zujewski joined the invitation-only group of advisors on Thursday.
Andrew Parker is the project marketing director for the Connected Living Programme at the GSMA. The Connected Living Programme is a market development initiative with a mission to help mobile operators accelerate the delivery of new connected devices and services, thereby building a world where everyone and everything is intelligently connected.
Andrew is an established mobile marketing professional with nearly 30 years’ global experience, holding directorships and senior management positions with some of the world’s leading telecoms companies such as Cable & Wireless, Norweb Telecom, Hutchison Whampoa & Nokia.
Andrew Parker is based in the UK, though he travels widely in his role with the GSMA supporting the growth and development of machine-to-machine communications (M2M) and the Connected Life.
Connected Living is a market development initiative by the GSMA, the industry body representing almost 800 cellular network operators and other mobile communications industry players worldwide. Its mission is to help mobile operators accelerate the delivery of new connected devices and services. The GSMA’s target is to assist in the creation of 700 million new mobile connections, while stimulating a number of service trials and launches in the automotive, education and healthcare sectors. The Connected Living programme is also working with the city of Barcelona, the Mobile World Capital, to develop and showcase smart city services.
