Amsterdam, The Netherlands, February 11, 2014 – Gemalto, the world leader in digital security, has announced that it is enabling secure connectivity and long life cycles for a unique customisable fleet management solution for The Morey Corporation (Morey), a leading US telematics hardware designer and manufacturer.

Gemalto’s Cinterion® line of M2M wireless communication modules and ruggedised Machine Identification Modules (MIMs) ensure reliable and secure connection to multiple networks. Gemalto’s solution enables Morey’s product to provide actionable intelligence for global OEMs and enterprises to track assets, optimise utilisation and manage inventory for mixed fleets.

Designed for flexibility, Morey telematics products are highly customisable and allow users to select the right features for varying use cases and geographical regions and change them over time as needs evolve. The easy to install device plugs into a vehicle’s diagnostic port or can be hard-wired to the machine or vehicle. Gemalto’s advanced and cost-effective M2M solutions send information over wireless networks and help management track operation in real time. In addition to high-quality customer support throughout deployment, Gemalto provides GPS capabilities and multi-mode connectivity from a single design allowing implementers to create one solution for use on any network worldwide.

“Gemalto’s solution helped us reduce costs and improve features while leveraging a single hardware design for both CDMA and GSM carriers,” said Diego Borrego, Chief Technology Officer for Morey. “Gemalto’s easy to integrate solutions along with outstanding customer support helped us expand our offering into more flexible hardware offerings for multiple fixed and mobile assets.”

“Supplying a flexible M2M solution to Morey ensures that they can meet their development timelines and begin delivery and performance improvements quickly,” said Paul Kobos, Head of Sales for M2M at Gemalto North America. “Our work with Morey enables them to provide construction firms, heavy equipment rental companies, and transport fleets with a cost-effective and long-lasting option for optimising business operations.”
